can I go to get technical help for this course?
Q: What do I do an E-mail address? A: Do I need to have an e-mail account? You will use the MyCOD e-mail account assigned to you. After you receive your account information by mail, go to http://www.cod.edu and click on the My COD student portal icon. When the Campus Cruiser page opens, look on the left hand side and work through the help sections:Q: How do I start the CHM 1105 course? A: Begin by reading the Syllabus! This link will give you the details pertaining to this course requirements. Once you are into the course site, PLEASE start to read the introductory material. Once this is done, please send me any immediate questions that you may have at russellc@dupage.edu.Q: Where do I take tests and quizzes? A: You take your tests and quizzes on-line and submit the results using the online testing features that are provided with each test.Q: What are the tests like? A: The tests and quizzes typically consist of multiple choice questions but other test question options, such as true and false or short answer, could be occasionally used. Be sure to complete all other unit activities before taking the test. The tests will only be available in Anlon for a fixed period of time. Please check the course calendar for the exacts dates that you will be need to have the tests and quizzes completed by.Q: If I do poorly on a test or quiz, can I take it over? A: No, make-up tests or quizzes are not given nor are late tests or quizzes accepted.Q: When and where do I submit my assignments? A: You need to submit assignments online with the online forms that are part of the web site within the timeline specified in the Course Calendar.Q: What if I submit my assignments late? A: You submit assignments online within the time frames specified in the Schedule of Activities. If they are submitted after the due date, then you will receive at most 50% of the points. NOTE: There will be NO points given for any late assignment that has been graded and returned to other students in the class.Q: How do I contact my instructor? A: Your instructor will be available by e-mail at russellc@dupage.eduQ: Is any extra credit work available? A: No, additional, personalized extra credit work is not available. However if you do all the assignments then it is possible to gain extra points which count as extra credit work.Q: How much work must I complete to receive an Incomplete Grade? A: See the Incomplete requirements in your Syllabus.Q: How much extra time will I get with an Incomplete? A: About 4 weeks after the end of the term. The only course activity that I will allow you to make up after the end of the term are the tests.Q: How long do I have to withdraw? A: Withdrawals will not be allowed after the official drop date. You must withdraw by the deadline established by the College of DuPage. The exact day and date can be found in the College Catalog or in the College Course Schedule. (I will also post the specific date in the Calendar page with other important course dates.)Q: Can I take this course Satisfactory/Fail? A: Yes, but the request must be made to me via e-mail prior to the end of the 10th day of the class. If you request this opinion, then we will have to fill out some additional forms to make it official when I submit your final grade. |
